A Day in the Life of an Elvis Fan

Char and Elvi“Before Elvis there was nothing.”  – John Lennon

One of my earliest memories in life came on August 16, 1977.  I was three years old.  My bedroom walls were plastered with Elvis memorabilia. I was a music fanatic and I knew I would grow up to become a musician.  One of my favorite pastimes was bouncing on my Wonder Horse while listening to my records.  I had a plastic portable record player and was listening to Billy Joel while riding on that horse when my mother came in to the bedroom and told me the news:  Elvis Presley had died.

In this episode of A Day in the Life, Char and I travel to Elvis festivals in Tupelo, MS and Memphis, TN to live out the Elvis Presley phenomenon.  This was such an enjoyable episode to film because Char and I are both Elvis fans.  We knew this episode was going to be a blast to film… but we discovered so much more than we expected during the shoot!

In this episode, you’ll meet the biggest Elvis fans of all – those who dedicate their lives to performing tributes to the King of Rock n Roll!  You’ll get to know the wonderful town of Tupelo, MS where Elvis grew up (a town that The Traveling Twosome HIGHLY encourages you to visit for a great time).  You’ll get to meet some of Elvis Presley’s bandmates such as D J Fontana and Ray Walker.  You’ll travel to Graceland in Memphis, TN to see the home of Elvis Presley.

Louis Magnifico with D J FontanaThere is no other musician who has captured the world in the way that Elvis has done.  He has achieved more, inspired more, and entertained more than any other performer in history.  He is America’s most loved export.  He was a legend in his own time and his legacy continues to inspire millions around the globe.

Starring Elvis bandmates such as DJ Fontana and Ray Walker with a host of other VIPS!
